Parking Meter Map Systems

In November of 2011, Parking Meter Map Systems, a division of Miami Maps, was approved by the Miami Parking Authority to conduct a six month Pilot Program to determine the viability and acceptance of displaying colorful walking maps affixed on the sides and back of 30 master meter parking stations in high traffic areas of Coconut Grove.

The concept, creation and installation of the Coconut Grove Walking Maps is vibrant and exciting. An art form. A conversation piece. An "event" that will help to unite the community and bring traffic to local businesses. The 30 colorful "wrapped" meter stations in high traffic areas of the Grove will create a lively and welcome "buzz" as people wallking by stop to look at the eye catching design and wide variety of shops, restaurants and services within walking distance.

A broad ranged publicity campaign will "kick in" simultaneously with the "unveiling" of the Coconut Grove Walking Map on 30 meter stations ( on or about Thanksgiving, 2011) to create excitement and spark interest in the community.

The walking maps are a high quality, high definition, full color, clear vinyl, "graffiti resistant" decal and are professionally installed to exacting specifications by Industry experts. The tasteful Maps will display dignified, colorful advertising from local merchants and businesses, public interest announcements and points of interest.

Only Coconut Grove businesses can advertise on the Coconut Grove Map.

The Company will start selling advertising on or about November 20, 2011 for the 2012 Edition of the Map which comes out January 2, 2012 and stays up for six months. Our "sales cycle" for the Coconut Grove Map lasts about three weeks and then we will create the ads and install the maps on the 30 meter stations.

A successful pilot program in Coconut Grove may result in a larger opportunity (entire city of Miami: 700 Master Meter Stations) throughout Florida and the Nation. There are more than 30,000 meter stations currently installed in major cities such as New York, Chicago and Seattle. We plan to provide our Parking Meter Map System in these cities. in the near future.

It is not expensive to advertise on the Map. The cost is about $100 a month per space ( see sample above) to advertise on 30 meter stations for six months. Advertisers who buy now ( first edition) will be given three months FREE so they only pay $300 for six months (not $600.) The map holds 40 advertising spaces (20 on each side). Some business owners may want two or three spaces to feature their business.

Each Map will display a "You Are Here" highlight, and direct consumers effortlessly to merchants and points of interest on the map.The Maps will be changed and updated every 6 months to accommodate new advertisers, and are maintained on a daily basis in order to assure a clean, high quality presentation. All information currently on the Master Meters will continue to appear unencumbered.

A unique "QR code" appears on each map to allow merchants to target potential customers in the area via Smart Phone technology in order to announce special offers or discounts in "real time," creating new business and valuable revenue.

QR code technology is the "future" of direct marketing and business to consumer communication. We are spearheading the movement by offering this cutting edge technology to all Coconut Grove business owners on the Map.

Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove is nestled between Coral Gables and Downtown Miami and is a sail away from Key Biscayne. This charming village is considered by many the "Jewel of Miami." Tourists and residents alike love Coconut Grove for its quaint village atmosphere, treelined streets, brick sidewalks and its proximity to Biscayne Bay.

For evening entertainment, visit the Coconut Grove Playhouse and experience "Broadway by the Bay," or choose from many other theaters and nightclubs located in the Grove.

The village is a shopper's delight. boutiques, art galleries, novelty shops and apparel stores line the quaint streets in the Downtown village. The Streets of Mayfair, Commodore Plaza and CocoWalk are home to some finer national retail stores. Shoppers are in paradise while browsing the streets of Coconut Grove.

Fishing and Sailing charters are available from the various Grove marinas. Bicycles, motor scooters, rickshaw rentals and roller skates let you experience the Grove at your leisure.

Coral Gables

Coral Gables' planners and developers were influenced by the City Beautiful movement of the early 1900s. Coral Gables offers residents tree-shaded streets radiating from ornate plazas, grand entranceways and plenty of green space. Founded by George Merrick in 1921, it is home to some of Miami's most historic sites.

Many buildings and districts of Coral Gables are meticulously preserved as historic landmarks, offering a glimpse at Merrick's grand vision. The Coral Gables City Hall and Douglas Road Entrance are two reminders of Coral Gables' history, reflecting the predominant Mediterranean style that flavors the city.

Coral Gables is home to many fine restaurants and cafes, and is ideal for scenic walks and after-dinner strolls. It includes the campus of the University of Miami and Fairchild Tropical Garden, with 83-acres of tropical plants from around the world. Coral Gables is a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoyable entertainment right outside the city limits of Miami.

Key Biscayne

Often overlooked, this island paradise located just six miles off the coast of Miami is as rich in history as it is in lush tropical beauty. Originally discovered by Ponce de Leon, it is still sought by divers and treasure-hunters for its remarkable coral reef, and its legendary sunken treasure. Tourists also seek it out for its serene beaches, romantic atmosphere, as well as its many great attractions, restaurants and shopping.

Because it is often overlooked by tourists, Key Biscayne is the recreational spot of choice for many Miamians. From bicycling, tennis, golf and fishing to kite boarding, windsurfing, sailing and waterbiking, Key Biscayne holds some of the best that Miami has to offer.

Home of the Miami Seaquarium (the original home of "Flipper" the dolphin) and frequent host to world-class tennis events, Key Biscayne is a fantastic spot for savvy tourists. Some of Miami's finest resorts are located along Key Biscayne's scenic sandy beaches, but more than 3 miles of its valuable beachfront real estate remains undeveloped.

Key Biscayne also offers the most breathtaking view of Miami's skyline imaginable.
